We’re Spike (her) and Laurence (him), and Pierre (6yrs). We bought our land in Geeveston back in 2013 and managed to buy the neighbours house six years later. So we’ve been here since December 2020, when we moved with a tiny baby in the middle of the COVID shutdowns. Sorry – yes, we are blow-ins from Qld. We’ve been under a rock pretty much since we moved. Between off-farm work (from home), restoring the old farm house, running cattle, breeding a some very special draught horses and raising a kid without a village, we don’t get out much!

We got very worried about the thistles when we first moved, we had quite a few… so the farm got dubbed “Thistle Farm” in jest and then stuck. The pretty mandala-type graphic is a rendition of a thistle done for us by the wonderful Aureole
